Except the reviews are 1 star and so many screwups and complaints for it I dont trust using it. I would love a service like that which is reliable though.

http://www.brownells.com.au

Seems to be a lot of difficult to source bits on here, they generally state to allow 10 days for in stock items. Prices are EX-GST till you hit the checkout so their prices are not as good as they look at first site but are still 5-10% then what's charged by my local guys. I've had pistol mags on order for 4 months or more now with no eta, Brownells are in stock and 10 days away so I'll be ordering from them in the next day or so. The site is painfully slow as it's dragging live stock data from the U.S arm and relaying it. I'll report back on how the order progresses in coming weeks.

Ordered trigger spring kit from Brownells Au and arived in 12 days no problems. Had account setup issues and an Aussie bloke phoned me and sorted it out.
They are good on some prices other stuff they are off by a hell of a lot. Best to browse around see who has what.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm going to order some DE44, Kimber 10mm and Sig .357Sig mags which are all in stock. The DE44 mag price is $3 less then buying here but I've been waiting 3 months or more so even if they cost more I'll get them. I find it very slack that the importers don't keep at least a small supply of accessories for the pistols they sell as almost always people want a few extra mags. Glock, Beretta, CZ and other mainstream brands are easy to find but waiting months for a STi 2011 38Super mag is very poor in my opinion, same goes for Desert Eagle and Kimber. The 45's are piss easy as any 1911 single stack mag usually works and they're cheap.

Just ordered some Wilson combat bits for my 1911. It's being sent to shipito. Let's see if they send it.

Nothing expensive, it's a spring kit and a new sear, it's a test run before I buy lots of bits that don't have serial numbers

It was in another topic here but did everyone see the thing about AusPost setting up an office in the US?

Now we can send to that US address if buying from places that won't ship internationally, instead of paying fortune for a forwarder

Fair warning, a lot of forwarders won't send firearm parts of any sort. Including the Australia Post forwarding service. I checked them out ages ago. Also a lot of firearm parts suppliers won't send parts to a forwarding service. Do your homework before committing funds.

I just had a package sent from Wilson Combat to shipito. And f*** me the box is labelled Wilson combat with the biggest font they could have fit...

It's just a bunch of springs for a 1911, it was another test.

So anyway the box is labelled I thought I was toast. However they asked for a customs declaration and it's on its way..

Let's see how it goes This side.. it's on the very slow boat.. I don't need the bits urgently

I guess springs on their own are pretty harmless. I'm only going on the policy statements I read of various forwarders, when trying to get some parts here myself. Could all be bluster, who knows

This freight forwarder has the same policy won't ship firearms/parts guns/parts weapons/parts..

Hence why I did a small order. Loss won't hurt so much.

So I was hoping for a bit more subtlety from WC.

Oh well it's on it's way...
