For Star Wars and Milsurp fans

Post by Supaduke » 04 Jan 2017, 12:41 pm

With the release of the new Star Wars films, I thought some of you might find this an interesting read.

I am a fan of Star Wars and Milsurps, this article explains what firearms were used to inspire various blasters in the film. Some you will already know, some were a bit of a surprise and I for one was unaware.

Enjoy

That is really something. I thought I knew them all but I was not even close. I never caught the Singlepoint OEG, either. Of course I would not have known what it was back then.

And those pictures are amazing. It looks like the movies were made yesterday. I can't believe how well the uniforms, gear, and sets have stood the test of time. You can even discern the acting in some of those pics, it looks real. I've seen the first two movies a zillion times but it has been a while, I may need to watch them again.

I just went through it again. That was a really bad ass article. Man, those movies were amazing. 40 years later and the scenes still look realistic and futuristic.

It looked a heck of a lot better than the stupid computer cartoons that they call special effects nowadays.
