Gday from a new Weatherby and Howa shooter

I've been lurking for a while and thought I should join.

I'm not new to shooting but only got my licence last year. I have a Weatherby Vanguard in 270 and Howa mini action 223.

I'm in Brisbane if someone wants a hunting buddy.

On a far more serious note piss off those rifles and buy a Winchester, CZ or Marlin . You will be much happier.

Ah, Oldbloke bite your tongue old mate the Weatherby and Howa are perfectly respectable firearms. I am a massive fan of the Mk.5 Accumark Weatherby's having a few myself and also being a recent convert to the Howa Mini Action .223.

The 270 is a Winchester cartridge so I'll consider that close enough.

For the money the howa is hard to beat. First night out the 223 didn't drop a shot.

Hey Oldbloke, Sharps, Remington rollers and Springfield Trapdoor single shots did more to win the West than anything else by exterminating the bison herds. Starving the Indians out was more successful than fighting them.
