Hey guys and gals. Young bloke from VIC here, keen hunter and pistol shooter. I've been lurking long enough and wondered why I never got around to making an account.
I know its an introductory thread but I've got a quick question:
Anyone know why my safe seems to get smaller and smaller every year or so?

Hey, I just signed up because I saw the marriage equality thread.

I'm not a shooter, just interested in politics — even when it doesn't directly relate to me but especially when it does.

A couple of people pointed out that because I was a new member they weren't willing to discuss why they think I shouldn't be allowed to get married. Then the thread got locked. One person said I should visit the 'welcome' subforum so here I am. If anyone actually wants to know anything about marriage equality, DM me. Reason I'm doing this here is because I know shooters have an interest in politics, and I know that a lot of people in the LGBTQI community have a hard time telling the difference between a well intentioned question and passive aggression.

All I know about guns is that you can own one for hunting or going to a shooting range but that's it. So feel free to talk to me about that.

Hi all,

Looks like a great forum with heaps of information and active, passionate shooters.

I've been shooting on and off since I was a kid growing up in the 80's. Used to hunt with my dad when I was a kid, now just shoot at the range/clayground etc.

Probably keen to get back into hunting at some point in the future as I want my kids to experience what I did growing up.

Grew up in Vic, but been living in QLD since 2005. Have lived up in the far-north, but currently in SEQ.

Main interests apart from shooting are LAFO rights, camping and outdoors, beer, my family, beer, weekends, and beer.

Looking forward to contributing on here.

Cheers :drinks:

G'day all, am a 49 year old bloke who is going through the process of getting back into hunting after last going in my very early 20's. I have a mate who is a very experienced hunter (originally from Sth Af) who is guiding me through parts of the process but will be back and forth for large parts of advice. Forum looks good. Have just sent of license application (NSW ) about a month ago so will be back for some advice on purchasing a centerfire soon Cheers

I'm a 32 year old bloke who has only got into hunting in the last few years after moving back to SEQ to chase cattle.
Used to get out hunting with a few mates back down south, just to get out of the city and head to the range with them when I got the chance. These days love nothing better than chasing a few ferals whenever I get a few spare hours or the chance

Funny you say that, with my .223 it just pin holes it, with the 30-06 it disappears!
