What kind of shooting are you into?

I applied for my A and B licence last month and am looking at getting into just normal sport and target shooting.

I've been attending ranges with friends for a while now and really enjoy it so I thought that it was time I went and got my own kit.

Hey guys,

I've been off this forum for about 6 months or so. At the time I left there was a lot of petty arguments happening and it was becoming difficult to have a decent conversation with anyone. This coincided with me not having much of a chance to shoot for a while so I took a break from the whole scene.

I've been lurking for the last week or so and it seems a lot of those issues have been fixed. Good to see some familiar names still posting and a lot of new ones so obviously the community has grown well :).

Anyway, glad to be back here, hope to be as involved as I once was.

Cheers,

Baldrick

Welcome Back

Thanks mate. Nothing too interesting unfortunately. The pistolen club I'm a member of has been closed around 4 months so there's no joy there and getting to the rifle range has been hard because of my family/ work schedule. So instead I've mainly been hitting the gym and catching up on reading. I got my reloading area sorted a couple weeks ago and I'm fully restocked again, now just have to make some time to put some down range.

The mods cleaned house a while back and are a bit more liberal with the hammer these days.

Newbie saying hi

Post by Rgo » 24 Jan 2017, 2:13 pm

Just thought i had better join up and say hi. Been lurking for quite a while. I let my license expire way back in about 2001 for various reasons and have just decided to get it back. Sent of application yesterday and was asked for my ID today so it's all happening. This seems like a top community, looking forward to being a part of it.

Hello

I just passed my license test on Wednesday. Im totally new to shooting and as a owner of a firearm.
Ive been reading forums and rifle reviews all over the internet and thought id better join a forum to get some banter going.

Im 40 years of age and fired 5 shots from a .22LR back in 2005 on a farm. Since then my wife and i moved to Darwin and have been here 4 years.
My only other experience with firearms is recently in 2016 we went to America for a 7 week road trip holiday and when in Las Vegas we went and shot some firearms.

I thought id never get a chance to shoot http://www.battlefieldvegas.com/ 5.56mm M249 30 rnds, 9mm pistol Sig Sauer 10 rnds, MP5 9mm 20 rnds, M4 30 rnds, AK47 30 rnds. So much fun and felt so easy to handle but the AK47 had a kick.

I am also new to this forum. When I am not working away working (anywhere from Chinchilla to Beijing to Mumbai), I shoot ISSF pistol to 25m and F-class rifle out to 1000 yards, both at Belmont in Brissie. I love hunting but never have an opportunity to hunt. I also have a small business that manufactures fullbore target rifle sights, and accessories like scope rails. I came here after getting bored at another forum.

Cheers,
Sumo.
