New recruits

Post by defau » 12 Nov 2013, 12:52 pm

I'm pretty new to shooting but am really getting into it.

I took a pair of my mates out to our local range on the weekend for their first shoot and they loved it.

Two license applications underway and two more advocates for the sport

Mines worked out great.

Pretty friendly on the recoil side of things and I'm just under 1" groups off the bench.

Took a few boxes of factory ammo to find the right one for my rifle but got there in the end :)

I'm coming around to Brownings.

The straight-pull T-bolt which has been discussed a bit lately looks like a winner.

Ok nice, let me know how it goes. I'm fairly sure I'm going to end up with the varmint x-bolt some time shortly.

Can do.

I'll get some target pics up and the rest of it once I've had it out a few more times.

Put in my PTA application today for a Browning T-Bolt varmint today for the girlfriend.

It will be the girlfriends first Browning too, so fingers crossed.

Newcomer!

Post by Scout0229 » 18 Dec 2013, 10:43 pm

G'day,

Just made an account here after my old forum was shut down.

Anyway just thought I'd introduce myself, My names Ethan, I'm from Medowie, NSW .Although i'm only 16 I've already had a good start into shooting and collecting, thanks to friendly folks at the local range (shout out to those guys) and my mates.

I like tactical stuff like M4's and F88's and so on, but nothing beats an old "wood and steel" gun. I'm a real sucker for ex service rifles as at least half the rifles I've used over my shooting career are.

I've said enough, thanks for having me!

By the way, just put this on hold, putting a deposit on very soon.

~Ethan.
