P14 Enfield
P17 Enfield

Who knows might get lucky.
Most of the time they are over priced and pretty average condition but I have got a few bargains over the years.

I just like wondering around looking at old and occasionally bizarre guns.

Was going to go but i own a jeep, and its once again munted so a chunk of spare cash has gone into parts at the moment, admire the collection of .303's for me while any of you are there

There is a collection we are looking at that will be coming on to the market this year that includes a lot of ME 303's, as well as Pattern 14's and a couple of nice Model 17's. If you're at the show tomorrow look for Santa Claus in a Civil War kepi and I'll introduce you to the dealer who is negotiating this collection, Cheers.

Was going but have to go east to pick up spare wheel for the boat for our Murray river trip

I'll keep an eye out for santa.

Last time I was there, found a really nice looking P14, reasonable price, decent timber and finish. Quick look down the barrel however and it may as well have been a sewer pipe. A lot of the ones I have seen online have been way to expensive too.

Hopefully tmr I will get some joy.

Was thinking if I get out of Mildura early enough to head down to Melb and do the show on Sunday before heading back home in the afternoon. See how I feel tomorrow and will post here if I can get to the show

For fear of being named a pedant....... I know Nussssing...

Well I ended up picking up a nice P14 from ol Jeff Pannen. In pretty good nick and managed to negotiate a pretty good price. Most importantly, it's got the rare volley sights which I was pretty happy about. Bore is good and the finish on the metal work is about 90%. Needs a tidy up cause it's pretty greasy and grimy. Will pick it up in a week or so once I sort out a PTA.

It's an Eddystone, not sure of the year it was made yet. The plate on the butt indicates it went through French hands at some point. Looking forward to getting it cleaned up and research it's history.

I also met up with No1 mk3, nice bloke, we had a chat. He does look like santa.
