Was at the lgs on Saturday and a bloke walks in to hand over a 94/22 for destruction!!!! I offered him a carton for it before he handed it over and he said OK . In great shape needs reblueing but no pits or rust rifling crisp and clean. Bargain!! :D :D

Yep happy as a pig in sh#t. Put 150 rounds thru it yesterday. 50 stingers 50 cci solids and 50 win bushmaster hp. No worries killing cans at 50m with the open sights with any of them.

The right place at the right time,,,,,,,,,,,
Someone had to score it, and you were the lucky one.

The good old stuff with hand engraving an chequering shouldn't be allowed to be destroyed.
They should be granted to the whatever gunshop they are handed in at,,, and then sold on to legit owners.

Jack Boot Johnnie Howard was single handedly responsible for destruction of works of art that are now all but gone, and the tradesmen with them.

I hope that when his time comes, it is slow and painful.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.

This is actually something that really bothers me, being 23 and never having lived during the time that these firearms were present in Australia I see them as the historical pieces of art that they are, and it’s saddening that as a young firearms enthusiast I’m unable to fully appreciate and collect historic and meaningful pieces of history.

It’s even more depressing when like you mentioned you take a moment to realise that some craftmens Work was destroyed to be forgotten forever
