Anyone else use photobucket to host pics ?

Post by darwindingo » 15 Jul 2017, 9:49 pm

Anyone else use photobucket to host pics for use on forums etc... ?

If so, have you noticed that all your posted pics don't display anymore ? Well unless you pay around $400 a year :wtf: Yeah sure, that is going to happen

I have been planning on changing to something else... Now it is going to be a pain in the A$$ to edit every post, assuming I can remember what pic to edit it with :wtf:

Wish I had done it when I could still see the post pics

If you want to post pics to display them somewhere like a forum (i.e. throw away image)... http://imgur.com is what you want. Dropbox or Google Drive will work too, but why mess up your data and have never to be used again or duplicate images. Imgur.com is your friend.

They can fix it for $400 a year though    Don't see how they came up with that excessive figure :wtf:

They could have at least left existing pics in place and made the change only apply from now on. Must be playing havoc on a lot of forums etc..

You can get a Plus 50 plan (60GB of storage) for about $59/year but no, I simply deleted my account. I had about 8% of my storage capacity used and they want me to pay? No thanks

They won't be getting any cash from me...

Plus 50 No Linking or 3rd Party Hosting.

Plus 100 Unlimited Linking, and No 3rd Party Hosting.

The only one that offers 3rd Party Hosting is the Plus 500 at an insane price.

They must be

Honestly never understood why people don't just load the image onsite. Also, I hate hitting a link to go see an image...

Seems photo bucket decided they are sick of trading or are aiming their model at some sort of commercial application but I just don't see it working. Just built their own coffin. Wonder what size bonus the CEO will get when it all folds!?!

IMGUR user here! I got rid of wankbucket ages ago when it started causing trouble, IMGUR so far has been brilliant to use, easy and quick.
