Won't someone think of the childrens...!!!

Those words sprouted as a war cry by the anti-gun tards finally struck home with me....I have a son, maybe I've neglected the boy so with this in mind I started the process to add Cat H to his A,B Minors permit. After a steamy 2 long days at the range (>42c), he's passed his training course and is now a "New Member In Training" of the SSAA St Mary's Pistol Club. Paperwork in the mail to the registry tomorrow and permit back within a few weeks and the awesome part is that once he has the permit he can shoot any pistol I'm licensed for. The DE44 has a rail under the barrel, perfect for a bipod...

Proud Dad moment.... :)

Very proud of the young fella, although he's 12 he has the physical size of a 7yr old which is tough enough but he's also a lefty. He was trained with both a semi auto 22 and a S/A revolver which are not overly friendly for left handers. I've ordered a S&W M&P 2.0 22LR semi for him which I should have in a couple weeks, it's fully ambidextrous with small grips which will be perfect for him. I'll load up some very light 38Spl rounds and see how he handles the 686 4" rather then invest in a revolver as well just for him. Then and again, there's a really nice Rugar 22lr revolver I like.... :)

He should graduate in August to full club membership and probably start flogging me in comps a week later. We'll head out tomorrow night and get the first of 3 trainee shoots ticked off his sheet :D

Nope....sent off a couple PTA's last week and have ordered 2 pistols for him. My genuine reason is him being a lefty and none of my righty pistols are completely "Safe" for him. Bought a S&W M&P 2.0 22lr Tacticool and a Ruger Single 10 S/A revolver for him because the semi is full lefty friendly for safety, slide stop & mag release. The Ruger is well...um..."Cool" :) I'll do a quick photo shoot and review when I pick them up and if I have them next time I see you at the range you can shoot them for yourself and see what you think (with the boys permission of course) :)

Good job Brett and young Daniel !

Children of gungrabbers probably shoot at neighbours fences with spray cans, no permit required and the media call them "Graffiti Artists".

Have a training aid for my 5 1/2 year old nephews, the day they turn 11 (or whatever the age is when they come of it) it'll be straight to the range to get them started...maybe beforehand on a property if they're good haha
