There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

Can you actually buy firearms at this?
It's March and we're supposed to buy another million firearms, so I've just ordered some :-)
But if I could pick up a milsurp or three at this show it might be worth a look.

G'day bladeracer,
Shep is run by Northern Victoria Arms Collectors who include many collectors of military firearms. Almost always something to interest the military buyer, and if he comes again one collector displays a fantastic set of Australian Colonial period Sniders and Martinis with their correct bayonets. Last year I picked up a great 4" Python for only $1300, so bargains can be found. Cheers.

I’ll be there looking as cool and calm as a movie star walking away from an explosion but on the inside I’ll be like a kid in a lolly shop!

Eh :problem: Had to do kids stuff in the morning, because grandparents are away! The nerve on them! Otherwise would have gone shooting anyway.

Next time. I still want an Arisaka 99, with fold out anti-aircraft sights, I just don't want to pay exorbitant amount for one. And a German K98 (or a Russian capture, tbh I'd like a Russian capture, more character there). I'll find one eventually, when I'm ready. I think these are the last missing pieces in my milsurp collection. There could always be more, but these two will complete my set :) One day... Soon.

Oh I'm sure you have, Noisy. They are definitely around. I just have other (gun) projects that I'd like to do first.

Cant remember the name of the dealer but there was one for sale there. I was quite restrained and only came home with a couple of reference books for the collection.

G'day Noisydad,
Pannan had a 99 with aircraft sights but it was missing the monopod, bore was good and retained the Chrysanthemum. $450 was a fair price for what it was. There is a Type 97 which will quite likely come on the market this year, price to be determined, but missing it's scope should keep it under $4000. I wasn't as restrained as you and got a few more books as well, but accidently bought a Win M70 in 225Win, then deliberately bought a CLLE 303 with a nice Motty barrel, got some more good info off Mr Skennerton about some bayonets I have recently acquired so was worth the trip for that alone. Cheers.

I swear, wife, I was like walking, minding my own business, reading a book on french cousin and listening to a gardening podcast, on my way to self improvement seminar. Then, out of nowhere, someone tripped me. I woke up in my car, with a gun and some cash missing.

Well, f***, it could turn out to be a gun a month since new year. Oh dear, oh no.

No1Mk3, you got contact info for that $450 Arisaka 99 dealer? Please.

There was a few Winny 92s over 100 years old - I looked up their serial numbers, an worn action Enfield Snider for and nice 303 Martini I drooled over but I’m wanting my pistol license this year so my wallet retained it’s moths.
