There is a reason California is democrat with so much rural areas you don't get fair representation.

I think heaps actually? 50% - 60%?

You have the coastal cities like San Fran, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, LA, San Diego etc...

The next layer behind that away from the coast though is all designated rural I think? 2-3 hours from the coast you move into desert if I remember right.
