License for 2 lever actions

Hi All,

Heard sometimes WA licensing asks why 2 lever actions are needed.

Was looking at getting a 22 LR lever for rabbits and a 357 lever for foxes as they will be at distances where use of a .22 would not be humane.

I was going to use wording similar to above for genuine reason along with the property support letters.

Anyone had any issues with multiple lever action licensing in WA ? I cant imagine would be any problem just someone told me recently they don't like people having more then one lever - doesn't sound correct..

They are different chamberings so no problem.I have 6 bolt action rifles and could have 6 levers if that was my choice.Not sure a 357 lever is a good choice for foxes.I had a Ruger 17 HMR that was deadly on foxes out to 200m.The holdover on the fat 357 would be a bit.The Ruger came with a fixed 8x40 scope which was brilliant

I don’t know how’ve this would go but I wonder if you could write reading is “range and distance specific - 1st lever action is scoped and dialled for 100m and 2nd lever is scoped for longer distances, 200m plus. It is unsafe and inhumane to risk a long varmint shot with the 1st 100m lever...”

Easiest explanation is for the humane destruction of feral vermin then state what each firearm will be used to dispatch

Even easier the 22lr will be used with open sites to dispatch rabbits at close range (leaving open the option of having a 22 bolt gun with a scope in the future) and the 357 is for larger vermin

I've got two .22s using this line..

I realise that you have the misfortune to be in WA, but for me in QLD it's like this.
M39 22LR for LA Small-bore silhouette
M94 357 for LA PC silhouette
336 30-30 for LA silhouette

and then there's the other LA matches

and LA BP cartridge.

Seems to me there's a fairly large number of genuine reasons

Have you read the WA firearms act and what it says about different actions or calibres? Weapons licensing are not legislature. That would be my starting point.

You should move to QLD mate. No letters required. Get yourself anything except a 50cal and any action except self loading.
