Interesting legal term, can mean a lot of different things depending on the context. Usually, to the layman, it means 'more than the crime itself'. So, an aggrevated break-and-enter may include an assault on the occupant. In this case (unfamiliar with WA law) it may simply mean there was more than one occurrence of the same crime, or more than one crime committed knowingly.

All that palava aside, good to see the magistrate held common sense to the fore. Sure, should have stored things appropriately... but awesome he kept his licence and firearms.

Yes he breached some storage laws on technicalities. But their laws are by design just waiting for you to slip up.
I think the magistrate let the police of lightly.
And i think the abc owe him an apology and possibly compensation.
I dream of a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned

Of course he was distressed given the ordeal he was being put through.


ABC just reported what the charges were. Cops should compensate IMO. B ut pretty well impossible since there was a conviction.
