Chances of getting a second 12 gauge in WA?

Post by Dude8787686 » 19 Dec 2021, 6:08 am

I want to apply to buy a different 12 gauge for a few different reasons. I already have a 12 gauge licence and a 12 gauge. What are my chances of getting a second different model?
Thanks in advance.

I would say your chance is 100%. I don't know much about WA law but surely you don't need a genuine reason to buy a cat A.

For licensing applications in WA, if it is not different then you do not need another 12g. Specify a separate use on your application. Maybe used for trap, other 12g used for skeet (if you are club licence only). Heavier for slug loads, other gun not suited due to lighter weight. Optic mounted single barrel, other gun standard double barrel. Or whatever reason makes sense for needing the different 12g. Two of the same calibre is not usually an issue if they serve different purposes.
