Store 4 firearms in a "3" gun safe

Post by Amityville » 17 Sep 2022, 10:58 pm

Currently have a bunnings "3" gun safe, can easily store 4-5 in it without going to bigger safe.
Any reason I can't legally store 4 in it?
WAPOL happy with the way it's mounted.

Nope, jam in as many as you can.
Buy two, WA requires ammo to be secured to the same standard as your firearms.

I assume they don't have scopes on them. I have a safe similar to the bunnings sandleford one. I couldn't get 3 scoped rifles in it properly. Mine has a bracket on the door which I had to bend inwards for clearance. I also had to turn the rifles at an angle to prevent the door hitting them when closing. In the end I bought another safe.
Anyway, as others say, I believe you can put as many as you like as long as you can lock it.

Cheers.
As a recent migrant to this fine state, some of the firearms laws seem a little backward and wouldn't of been suprised if limited to manufacturers guideline

I have them straight, sideways, up side down to fit as many in my safes as I can in WA.
