LOL, thanks Fozzy ... Bugga I was hoping they had gotten their s**t together ... Which is a bit of silly thinking since they would love nothing more than to ban them and be the only ones with them ... Grrr .. Sorry rant over.

Not really a silly rant when there is truth to it. I have no doubt if they could ban them they would in a heartbeat.

They are hopelessly inefficient, I can't image how much tax payer's money they're wasting.

LOL, thats the parts that s**ts me.. Before when you used to roll up to the cop shop and apply we werent paying for a specialist unit, which there is no need for. Then they bulls**t us telling us it will be cheaper and we all know how that has turned out.

no I have not contacted anyone i'm afraid it would be like sending your meal back at a restraint (the can do nasty things to it )
in this case they might shove my paperwork to the bottom of the pile and it end up being 24 week wait!

I would strongly suggest you contact them, the more pressure we put on them the better it will be. Having that attitude never got anyone anywhere.

Not having a dig at you by the way.

And their speed and efficiency is laughable, and completely unacceptable. In 2014 there is no reason what so ever why we should have to send mail back and forth and have it processed by hand rather than a simple computer system that checks it off. The former option takes anywhere up to several months where the latter would take as little as minutes if implemented correctly.

You are in WA so your support will help Rick Mazza who has already held them to task and their lack of intelligible responses was a laugh.

No one seems to have noted for our more fortunate "other state " mates, we pay $170 for the privilege for waiting forever and as commented, the whole process can be completed in a few minutes on a computer to check the applicants validity.

My cat A application is a month old now, apparently 600 in the works.

Be Safe,
BB.

Ours were $28,but the Barnet libs decided we were costing more to process,or he needed more cash to build his stadium,so now it's

"user pays",jez those firearms officers must be on about $1000 per hr,I want a job there,

Just had a look at my applications..

H Cat original with club support etc.

50 days

A/B Addition using a property letter on 2000 hectares with legitimate vermin.

45 Days

I also made a call about this just after 4 weeks. I was told it had been approved at that time and that it just needed to be "added to the system" and posted out which apparently takes 2 weeks hah!

***

Amazing that there is a 28 day cooling off period and then they had to mail me back for my safe storage stat dec which I in turn mailed back to them for the original and it only took 5 days longer than an addition which requires no cooling off or additional paperwork.

LOL thanks for the words of encouragement Fozzy * GROANS *. Seriously The bosses Ive had would sack my arse if I was this inefficient, and if the system was this bad they would kick my arse for not making it flow better.
