Contacted the Ministers office and learned that he is getting 300+ emails a day over the 2024 'gun' laws.

I am assuming nearly all of them did not go to the rally to voice their disdain.

What is the point you've been ordered to have your property stolen by the state and if you dont comply by a certain date you go to jail or get everything confiscated anyway kick up all the stink you like it's already crushed typical Western Australian commie state.

Any gun owner who continues to live in WA and not seek refugee elsewhere is supportive of the laws. It is that black and white in my opinion.

So, you can afford firearms, legal storage requirements, ammo when funds permit...
But it's too hard to get to a rally that may just turn around government over-reach that could see you handing in firearms for nothing in return. To be branded immediately as a danger and a menace to your community.
This is why Australia is going down the drain. Excuses.

The last rally had 1500 people out of the 90k gun owners. WA gun owners are soft.

I left my grandfathers death bed and drove from Cairns to Canberra during the scamdemic protests in 2022. There were hundreds of thousands of people there showing their hatred of tyranny. It was incredible.

People look for excuses instead of doing what is right. Very little sense of honour these days.

I worked with one bloke in the NT whom was a knob. I did not like him on a personal level. The mine sacked him because he did not get the vaccines. He had 3 little daughters and a wife.

I really found a sense of respect for him. Most other people in the mine caved but he held his head high and did not succumb to tyranny. That to me is the epitome of a man. Never compromised his values. Not even in the face of adversity. Did not know how he would feed his family but he took the leap of faith to maintain his honour.

i took a each way bet with the vax . due to a history of lung problems when i was younger , i got three shots to play it safe 'fore deciding that was enough . i support freedom to choose , not the mandatory view of guv'ment . morally , tough call with old matey you worked with . on one point i admire his grit to stick to his values as you said, on the other hand he lost his job and ability to provide for his family . i've seen some fellas make bad choices in life due to what amounts to stubbornness. put themselves in all sorts of drama due to principles , fine line between brave and stupid, just depends on individual perspective ;)

i CHOOSE to voice my opinion on a forum in a supposedly democratic country . feel free to disagree, as is your right to CHOOSE to do so. funny thing, i haven't caught a cold or flu since the vax . or it could be 'cause i took up the ciggies again , according to some studies the nicotine kills viruses in your nose and throat . supposedly ;)
cheers

I was told the news of the 300 by a member of his staff. It is a fair guessthat the emails are from across the state.

To my critics note.
I am old, ill, and while i can not make it to the rally but I have been busy recently phoning EVERY member of the government with some very positive responses asking them to cross the floor and support the dis-allowance motion due to go to Parliament on the 6th ? Aug. 43 phone calls in all. Two of which told of "this number is disconnected".. go figure that one.
I have emailed SSAA asking what are they doing for people who have had their fa taken (me, on healthgrounds) no replies. Many here are still relying on ssaa and I have written letters many.
what have you done.? Drove across Australia well thats great, I am pleased for you.The $$ you spend on petrol didnt come out of your housekeeping did it.
We do what we can.
We should be celebrating our efforts not condemning them . dont have the back bone? Do you wish to see my medals?
I will not honor any negative comments here any more with a response.

good for you mate , great work
lots of people on the internet (and human nature generally) make assumptions and jump to negative conclusions . don't take any notice of detractors . by the sounds of it you've done more than ssaa . i personally know of quite a few who've joined shooters union cause they take action . these same people say if not for the fact that ssaa have ranges, they're starting to wonder why they're paying membership to ssaa due to inaction and no support. a couple of big game shooters i know sent of emails to ssaa after they were put through the wringer with pta applications for large caliber guns , and the reply was there's nothing untoward going on from wlb , when the pta applicants had proof there was. real head in the sand mentality.....

I made my point, and it's been the same all the way through. And yep, as above this is a forum where people put up their opinions, and are not always going to agree.

I just can't stand the hypocrisy of all of this. Put up a post that there's going to be a meeting about the bastardry of the WA Govt's gun laws screwing the people, I assume for everyone else's FYI, then an excuse as to why the poster cannot go. Funds.
I get that for sure, but this is a gun forum, people undertake shooting in various forms and amounts here. That takes funds too.
Priorities, priorities. Someone else'll do it, yep.
