Greens out to blur the lines again SSAA needs your help !

An important message from SSAA National President Geoff Jones: Shooting activities under attack again

SSAA National President Geoff Jones is calling on all members to read and comment on the SSAA’s submission to the Senate’s inquiry into illegal firearms in Australia.

The inquiry, which was put forward by the Greens with the support of Labor, concerns ‘The ability of Australian law enforcement authorities to eliminate gun-related violence in the community’.

But as Geoff argues, the inquiry appears to be more of a Greens’ smokescreen to blur the lines between legal firearm ownership, illegal firearm ownership and related gun crime.

Please read the SSAA’s draft submission paper and send in your comments by Friday, August 1, so the SSAA can counter the unfair and ill-informed arguments of the Greens and other anti-gunners.

A good read, I think they have covered it all pretty well.

Job done well SSAA. Thats why every firearms owner should join, if you dont or won't, don't let me read about your complaints if things get harder.

I'll give them points for that.

It's a good letter.

Yep the SSAA has done some good research here with some good refrences. I suspect there will be some changes made to the current laws due to the submission so the government will feel like it had some sort of win against gun crime and the "Anti Gun Lobby', Greens and general uneducated public etc will feel all warm and fuzzy that they have changed the law.

Good to see something positive coming out of them :)

I cancelled my membership a while ago because at the time I felt I was paying for nothing.

More of this kind of thing is the way for them to get people back IMO.

The magazine did get very repetitive too. That's really why I joined to start.

Chock full off the same ads over and over.

With some more editorial content in there I might go back.
