The USJTF is working this petition to bring legalized airsoft to Australia showing the government of the country that airsoft itself is a great sport, that can both generate tax revenue, expose both citizens and youths to gun safety, professional and safe airsoft play, and a sense of security in the sport.

The USJTF has taken a forward stance and created a formalized petition here to support the the legalization of airsoft in Australia. Please sign this, send it to all friends, Facebook pages, twitter sites, airsoft pages, and other social networking sites around the world.

Thanks,

USJTF Staff

I won't be signing, if we get airsoft, the powers the govern this country might take away firearms as there is a less dangerous alternative.

I doubt that will happen like that mate. I mean airsoft guns are not an alternative for culling ferals, which is the genuine reason I have for my firearms.

I guess I was meaning more pistol shooting, I've seen some of the airsoft comps they do, its pretty much ipsc ( pistol and rifle) without the recoil.

To be honest mate, ive had zilch to do with it. I see a few kiwi mates who are right into it. But I tend to look at it as a plus for the firearm culture. People who do it I guess are more likely to be on "OUR" side ... Just my opinion though :)

Ditto. In principle though I have to argue with the air soft ban.

IIRC they're banned because they're is no 'genuine need' for them. Obviously they're completely harmless though and have only been banned because of the normal nanny-state/fear mongering mentality that our legislation is guided by.

They've banned a toy and a sport.

No one needs to play cricket, or golf or baseball, but I don't see anyone working to ban cricket bats or golf balls. Air soft just got the short end of the stick because it's shooting related.

I have to object to that.
