WA addition times

Post by Ade » 13 Aug 2014, 1:44 pm

WA firearms says 21 days for an addition.

I'm up to 37 days now. Plus it costs $173 here for the addition.

I feel for you suckers, I mean guys, out in WA :P

Nah, it does suck though. We're fortunate to have a fast system here in VIC. It would do my head in waiting like you QLD/WA blokes must.

Same.

Handgun approved on a Monday almost 21 days, but took until Tuesday the next week to add to my licence then they said it would be posted out in 'a day or so'. They are working delays into the whole process just because they can.

Under the old 'inefficient' system I went to my local copshop on a Monday and I had my handgun addition signed by the district superintendent in 2 days. That was a record for me, but 2 weeks was my longest wait.

Yeah, and the WA police was offered the Vic system (possibly for free, if I am not mistaken), as the system works and works well, but WA refused of course! What boggles the mind is that this is ONE country is it not?? Yet....yeah....I can understand if it is a new application, but FFS....an addition?? and what's with the cost? Well, we know why...
