Every time there is the illegal use of firearms our political masters call for tougher gun controls up to and including the total banning of certain firearm types. Oddly enough such bans do exist in the western world but are rarely mentioned. Following a massacre involving school children, the United Kingdom banned the private ownership of handguns in 1996.
Do you wonder why this ban is never mentioned?
Every year since the implication of the ban at a figure that hovers around a consistent 32%, handguns lead the pack of gun related crime with not a singular handgun in private ownership. These are figures that have never passed the lips of any politician nor are they reported in the press. In simple terms the ban has failed.
Its time that political masters got the message that only honest citizens register firearms, when are they going to pass laws that attack criminals?
