With a ban on bolt action shot guns.
And for the record straight pull shottys are classified as a bolt gun in Vic.

When I heard about it I assumed it would apply to my 5-shot Dickinson T1000 straight-pull, now it seems it only applies to detachable magazine guns. Which seems like it would be far simpler to ban magazines larger than five-round capacity for these guns than to ban the guns that are already owned by some shooters.

Is there any other confirmation/clarification regarding this?

As I understand it Jenkins was the cause of the imploding of NSC.

This makes zero sense. Clay shooters can use a semi, hound hunters a semi centre fire, but they ban bolt action shotties. It's nonsensical, or am I missing something?

Clay shooters can use a semi-auto gun on a medical certificate, not generally.
Don't know what you mean about hound hunters using semis, that's news to me.

Yep, I have no clue about the reasoning behind this. All other classes of firearms that have magazine limits still allow the firearm but limits mag capacity, even with tube-mag guns. If mag capacity were the issue why wouldn't they simply ban larger mags.

Didn't know about the M/C requirement.

Last I heard some years ago semi's were allowed. Perhaps I'm mistaken??

So this doesn't affect tube mag shotties like the stoeger m3000, only detachable mags?

THERE IS NO BAN ON BOLT ACTION SHOTGUNS, PER SE. Please read the letter properly, it is a restriction on magazine capacity the same as lever action shotguns etc. Politics Reloaded has simply beaten up a story to get a headline, and as such has shown they are just as knee-jerk reactionary as the Greenie Wankers we deal with all the time.

Ah yes magazine restrictions. Because someone who is planning on “misuse” can't reload. Makes sense…….
