Well the nationals are getting back to me now and they are not letting this go down in Victoria without a challenge.

Today is now the time to write to all your federal senators plus your local lower house federal member. TODAY.

Dear XXXX,
I will not be supporting any Federal Party that supports the proposed Firearms Bill to be debated this week in the next Federal Election.  The bill is being rushed through, and I understand the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia which I am a long serving member has had no consultation about the bill. I certainly have not been asked to make a public submission.

I understand the bill will:
Prevent the importation of clothing and equipment used by competition shooters and hunters because they have pockets to carry ammunition. This is crazy.
Prevent handguns being legally imported. This will destroy all competition shooting in Australia for no useful purpose. Handguns are among the most regulated goods in Australia.
Prevent the importation of pump action and straight pull firearms.  This is will not prevent another Bondi. This is just plain lazy thinking. If nobody has told any politician, a bolt action rifle in the wrong hands could have done as much damage. The same logic was used by people that Australia never had a gun massacre since Port Arthur because the semi automatic rifles and shotguns were tightly regulated. And yet we still had a massacre with two suicidal terrorists with a bolt action guns who should have never been given a licence. The straight pull is classified as bolt action in Victoria.
Prevent the right of appeal for refusal of licence which may be decided by AI on intelligence findings. This is un-Australian.
Setup a federal buyback scheme with no details or budget for it. I had to give my Ruger 10/22 Deluxe back in 1996 to the Federal Government and was not compensated for the market price on that either. Now I stand to lose tens of thousands of dollars in a buyback when you include all my rifle scopes, reloading equipment and ammunition. Victoria has the advantage of production of world-renowned Bertram Bullets and Woodleigh Bullets which are exported internationally as well.  I can't imagine what damage it will do to the local gun stores and manufacturing which I know a few personally.

Everyone, I have just emailed every federal minister again using the above email list posted above, and the email template in the first post.

I started my email
“Dear Senator,
I have voted Labour at every state and Federal election for 41 years.
That ends today.”

Then I posted the above template.

Guys it took me five minutes to do!
5 minutes.
Just BCC everyone and send another one.
I am again sitting in a hospital waiting for my wife to undergo surgery again for cancer, but I still found 5 minutes to do this.

Get absolutely stuck into them!

I will never stop voicing my opinion, as well as supporting both the SSAa and Shooters Union.
It doesn’t take long, it’s just a cut and paste and costs nothing.

Yesterday I went into town for a heap of supplies, and two different farm- industrial places greeted me with the "Loved your letter the other week, we are all still talking about it"

I'm particularly scathing of the well-meaning people STILL trying to explain to these politicians that legal gun owners aren't the problem, and spend hours looking up real stats to show the duopoly pigs.
Which they don't read, or care about.
Because THEY KNOW IT already, their aim is not to be educated, it is to disarm us all for their future compliance utopia.
Anybody who hasn't read the communist manifestos out there they state how essential this is to these control freaks is a lost cause.

Stop wasting your time doing this.
Tell them straight, we know you are trying to disarm us, even the tiny Minns just admitted it. It's not about legal guns in crime, it's about disarming you.
Tiny dicked, cowardly socialists need to feel safe surrounded by their stasi.

Instead, tell them we are not going to be disrespected and lied to anymore, and if they intend to keep going down this path treating us as below them we will all see to it that their political party, and them, are removed from destroying Australia forevermore with their socialist politics. Not by violence, but by sheer numbers.
And we will make sure their unelected bureaucrats that make all these agendas up are sacked with no entitlements and we will start again with real people who put Australia as No1.

Absolutely. We cannot get comfortable ever again.

Shooters rights has to be a constant issue that is in every political party’s minds everyday, just like in the USA. As soon as we get comfortable they will take a bit more off us.
I am not currently affected by the new laws, but I am not stupid enough to think for a minute that my turn is just around the corner, just like the rest of you.
Write to your state and federal MPs regularly, make sure they know you are never going to forget or give up on shooters rights.

I'll tell you what these politicians ignore, and what scares the crap out of them.

What they ignore is advice, and telling them what they know, or don't care to know.
They also don't GAF about you telling them you are a One nation voter, and won't vote for them if "blah blah blah"

If you tell them, say "I've been a (example) Liberal voter all my life but if we hear even a hint that you will support and enact Albanese's gun restrictions and buybacks and by doing so, blaming decent conservative folks who just want to be respected - that we will defect to One nation FOREVER MORE and actively campaign that all our friends and relatives turn their back on you forevermore.
If you blame the good people instead of the failures of government and the public "service" in using the laws they already have and didn't use to stop this happening, and hold those public servants to account for their inactions resulting in this latest tragedy- NOT US - we will forever more all vote with One nation who has said this as policy anyway.
And make sure you don't have a job in politics after the next election, and never again.
