Actually adds to the insult if you are directing it at someone, I reckon.

Exactly.
The best insult you can give someone is one you know they are too ignorant to understand.
Sauce on the burger.

Hmmm...yea...but not always...
Ive seen the attempt at big worded intellectual insult backfire on the odd person...depending on circumstances & surroundings of course, but ive seen when what they say makes no sense to anyone & they are made to look the crazy fool by a group & have to walk away red faced...

Sauce is always good on your burger, but you don't want to end up the sloppy pickle...

Yeah, I have to admit there are some so catastrophically stupid that a finely crafted insult falls so completely flat that it backfires, but it's like taking a really, really long shot at a rabbit and only taking the top off one of his ears, you can still take the satisfaction of knowing that you knew.

Which is exactly why we have a parliament full of dead wood.

My thoughts exactly.

Although Barnaby's wood apparently isn't dead!

Oh, good on ya!

Now I have a mental picture of Baaahnaby with wood.

Thanks for that.

Really going to have to work on poking a stick in my mind's eye.

Deleted the name calling, and all the childish bulls**t.

Those this is relevant towards will know who they are.

Bloody Oath I'd vote for him if I was in his electorate, plenty of people really like him up that way so he must be doing something right by them I guess. :unknown:

If your purpose in delivering said insult is to stroke your ego then yes.
If it is to deliver a message clearly and succinctly being indecipherable to the recipient is a failure at best, cowardly at worst.
I dont see the purpose in delivering a message that is not understood :unknown: It does nothing to elucidate the recipient regarding the issue at hand.

You can call someone a moron straight up or have them wake up the next day and realise they've been called a moron.
If they are too stupid to get it then that's their problem.
Nothing cowardly about it.

You can use an insult to make people angry or to shut them down in slack jawed bewilderment. I prefer the latter where possible. Really makes the point and gives me a good chuckle.
If someone drives me to the point of insulting them, i don't give a f*** whether they get it or not.

So why pick on poor old Barnaby, he only done something most red blooded men would do , maybe not while they were married
but a lot would
Look at prince Charles, Bob Hawk just to name two high fliers
He dropped his morals a little by playing up whilst married yes but that depends on the circumstances at the time, no one knows
Then there's, they can't play around with their office staff rule but I don't think it happened in the office so what's the big deal :?

You have to look at how many people meet their partners at work and go on to marry them and live long happy lives ( and some don't )
It doesn't matter what we think he has done what he has done and obviously by his interview they both knew what they were doing
and they're happy and that is what should matter
As for him being a worthy politician to stay in politics well that's up to him and his electorate and judging by the interview in his electorate
the other day they want him back so unless something drastic happens he will get back easily
And for those other pricks in parliament they just haven't been caught yet

Q. Are you aware of why Barnaby Joyce is like IKEA?

A: One screw in the wrong place and the whole cabinet falls apart!
