This could have a devastating effect on shooters insured with them through QBE and I presume the SSAA has kept it quiet for that very reason
I didn't know the SSAA was using QBE as an insurance and QBE can be a law unto themselves
It's a bit rich to "presume the SSAA has kept it quiet" when, as far as we know, the announcement was made a couple of days ago.
Agreed, it will have repercussions for the shooting/firearms fraternity, but we have the power to move our business elsewhere (as we will have to do) to another provider, which will surely impact on their credibility when so many policies are seen to be cancelled.
You are right to say QBE "can be a law unto themselves". They are of course a company which, as is any other, free to choose how they operate their business and therefore the T's & C's that you can either agree with, or not. If it's the latter, easy - take your business elsewhere.
And, as this is their global intention, can you imagine our US brothers not giving a good "kicking" to QBE's American counterparts?
Have a check of QBE's global tentacles and you'll see that they are spread far and wide.
Hit them where it hurts.
