what a bunch of idiots . should get a decent amount of jail time . shooting near the sleeping man was bad enough , but killing his dog like that is the act of disturbed individuals

obviously very inexperienced shooters, no excuses though, if they dont get caught for this they will get done for something

Can only hope they are caught soon and no longer have access to firearms.

Bloody morons, WTF is wrong with some people, common sense is sadly lacking these days no doubt about it.

I hope they throw the bloody book at em big time and make an example of them for all to learn from.

I don't know the place - Perhaps dogs are not allowed and some self righteous people decided to take matters into their own hands?

Still deplorable on all counts though.

Whether dogs are allowed or not allowed is nil a dog on a chain is no threat to anyone let alone shooting near a camp when i'm on my own camping I chain my dog close to me to keep the snakes out of the camp woke up a few times with tracks around my swag these individuals are dangerous and should be dealt with severely if caught

I completely agree. Just wondering if there was some motif other than pure callousness

Yeah well we probably won't know until the full story comes out but you may be right who knows but still no reason to shoot on a camp or in a camping area at night someone may have been having a piddle or something and been shot

So am the only one that don't think all is right with this .
So someone SHOOTS at him so he go's back to sleep and dosent even check on his dog and on top of this (And yes I have been shot at) he didn't hear the pill hit the dog ...... something just isn't right .

Ya may be right. There probably is more to this story. The guy who was camping may have wronged someone. Pretty crazy thing to do shooting his dog while it was chained up near him but. Should definitely get some decent jail time

If you were out camping with your dog - heard shots in your general direction, wouldn’t you check on your dog or comfort him or at least have him in sight? I certainly wouldn’t wait until morning after an incident as described...

If I was camping and some 0ne started shooting around or in my direction i'd pack up and leave the area smartly dog and all too late after you're shot I wouldn't give them a second chance to do so but in saying it'll all come out if they're caught

But...We are all shooters. There's no mention as to whether he was or wasn't or even if he had transport etc. All we know is he had a Swag and a Dog. He might have been pissed, the dog may have been loose and only chained up once it was dead etc etc.
But yeah - definitely more to the story.
