The world seems to be considering socialism again, it's taught in our schools and uni's by academics that have never really been out of school and secretly have their bowels in an uproar about a tradesman making more money than them. They think that they will have a privilidged position when the leftist revolution comes. It's been tried before and anyone over the age of 40 remembers what a ****** it was. Socialism is great until you run out of other people's money. That's it in a nutshell gents.

A lot of good points Pedro, trump is a lot of things to a lot of people, clearly a very polarising person . He got faults for sure, but I also remember how ditzy George W was and how people took the pizz out of him . Trump is trying to do good for America. The border wall is a damn good idea to stop trafficking of all sorts. Some of you fellas on here are getting a bit personal and sensitive over this topic, it’s a bloody forum where people express their personal views, don’t take it too seriously. I’d still rather trump than some lefty like Canada’s prime minister.

Viva la trump ! if there was a little smiley face giving the forks, I’d post it right here for all the trump haters :P

 nah , labor isn’t labor . Hasn’t been since Bob Hawke. I’ll never vote for them again. I encourage people to vote for the independent of their choice every election. Except for the greens :x The last thing we want is a two party system , otherwise we’l End up like the USA trying to choose which one isn’t the biggest joker . I’ve talked to a few yanks and they just didn’t like “crooked Hillary” compared to our new messiah  Dunno if any of you guys in other states have heard auntie Pauline and Bob the mad hatter have joined forces to get more action for farmers and rural communities in Queensland . And I’ll tell ya one other thing, the watermelons are bloody delicious at the moment

Viva el presidente trump  could always get George W back

Yes bigrich the two party is like a set of balls that in the end, end up being a dick then there are the independent could be classed as the a'hole always taking the crap from the bigger body but always doing its job and unloading the crap for the better of all ''forever'' the two party and the independent aren't far apart but far enough not to get into each others hair now the independent ( A'HOLE) tend to do more good and better and last longer than the two party (set of balls) which tends to not stand up and take notice of important things the older they get then tend to just hang around and give empty promises ;)

Bigrich Bob Katter is pinker than the left leaning Labor in QLD so I'm not surprised your a fan

When it comes to trade, economic policy and investment he is straight up a socialist but he loves to fool the meek with his conservative swagger.

Far king FNQ has been home to these bloody Communist for most of the last century, but they do a good job of hiding it under big hats

Hmm only on a trump thread (or a politics thread) will you get talk about balls, bat and holes on a gun forum.

I think this was the peak of this thread...only way forward is down a slippery slope into the darkness beyond.

Anyway,voting my current thought is

Policies are created by politicians and public service, implemented by the public service. What doesn't change ever.... yep the public service.

The party in power creates policies with the input of its factions, whichever faction is in power gets their stuff through. To pass the laws it needs to pass the parliaments. Obviously if the party in power doesn't usually have both houses (the opposition will not allow the legislation to pass) so a little bit of horse trading needs to happen.

Where you logic is flawed (re Pauline or independents). The more independents or fringe dwellers there are the more horse trading will happen. Yes one time the government will goto Pauline, she will want something in return. But next time they will goto the Tassie lady she will want something different.

But the bucket of money is same, all of a sudden you will have cases where while a pet project of Pauline is good... but it might take money or resources away from a more deserving hospital or a school or a road but in a different state. Now add 5 or 6 groups all wanting things differently you have a mudmix.

In Victorian Senate, we have a taxi driver and an animal liberation guy among other nutjobs. What will the lone SFFF guy gonna do when the animal lib guy is anti hunting etc. Very likely some anti hunting and animal farming rules will be put during the horse trading in vic parliament.

Another example...my pretty hate, Andrew wilkie got half a billion dollars for a hospital in Tassie by the labor govt. But worse he got the NBN installed in Tassie first.... something imho was the start of the fked up white elephant we call the NBN. which is now in most cases slower and more expensive than ADSL. How much did we spend on the NBN...well over 50b dollars.

instead of wasting money in Tassie, they should have built in urban areas first., get a lot of subscribers on the network and then self funded expansion into rural areas. And none of this liberals multi mix fkd up s**t.

Anyway voting is your preference, you can imagine in a lala land that Pauline or another fringe party can keep the government honest..... But the reality is most times they can't even keep their own houses in order. How many people have Pauline or that Palmer lost from their party after electing them to the Senate or parliament. Or the fact that even after 20 years Pauline still makes the same mistakes and then tried to blame everyone but herself and does the cry show to get out of her predicament. Hey it wasn't me, they did it without my knowledge.... either she had knowledge and is gutless just like normal parties...or she is so oblivious that she is not fit to run a chook raffle let alone a party.

The only redeeming quality of Pauline or well even Mr Trump is that they don't talk weasel talk like our politicians and public service people.

Hey you don't know the answer, say it you don't know the answer but will get back with the answer. Not read and reiterate the flash cards you were given by a media monkey in your party.

Yes that's the only thing good about trump
