Latest Crime Statistics from USA

Post by BluEsky » 08 Oct 2019, 1:11 pm

I came across these Statistics which you may find interesting. ;)

First an overall look.

https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/20 ... able-8.xls

A breakdown of Law Enforcement justified homicides.

.https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/20 ... ble-14.xls

Here's a breakdown of Civilian justified homicides.

https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/20 ... ble-15.xls

These figures do Not appear to support the Anti Gun Demonizing of Assault Rifles when one looks at all the hype given in the media to irrational, manipulative reporting and now it appears it's not backed by statistics. When one considers that from over 320 million people those who own Hunting Rifles, the ratio of AR 15 type to bolt and lever Rifles must be small?

To Quote. "Even the latest FBI statistics continue to prove that rifles, and the subset of semi-automatic sporting rifles that grabbers call “assault rifles” are involved in a minuscule percentage of homicides, yet the gun grabbers continue to put the AR-15, AK-47 and variants on a pedestal for prohibition."

"Here’s a 2011 “study” that is typical of their approach shows how they use emotional manipulation to create false narratives and instill irrational fear. It’s important to understand the techniques that opposition use to lie and propagandize information. Nothing in this ‘study” is actually justified. Just random advertisements and quotes to disparage America’s most popular and commonly owned rifle in an effort to eliminate it and it’s role.". Skilled Shot Blog.

More hands, fists and feet used in murder than ‘ assault ‘ rifles and shotguns combined... better confiscate those extremities quickly.

As per the Hegelian Dialectic which has been used since America's dawn, they don't need statistics to reach their agenda goals, only manufactured fear. :x

Well under the Persons Arrested Heading, the Stats state that it's running 2 to1 for Arrests, in the last item of the Overview.....

◾Nationwide, law enforcement made an estimated 10,310,960 arrests in 2018. Of these arrests, 521,103 were for violent crimes, and 1,167,296 were for property crimes. (Note: the UCR Program does not collect data on citations for traffic violations.) (See Table 29.)
◾The highest number of arrests were for drug abuse violations (estimated at 1,654,282 arrests), driving under the influence (estimated at 1,001,329), and larceny-theft (estimated at 887,622). (See Table 29.)
◾The estimated arrest rate for the United States in 2018 was 3,152.6 arrests per 100,000 inhabitants. The arrest rate for violent crime (including murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault) was 159.9 per 100,000 inhabitants, and the arrest rate for property crime (burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson) was 361.2 per 100,000 inhabitants. (See Table 30.)
◾Two-year arrest trends show violent crime arrests increased 0.2 percent in 2018 when compared with 2017 arrests, and property crime arrests decreased 7.1 percent when compared with 2017 arrests. (See Table 36.)
◾Arrests of juveniles for all offenses decreased 11.0 percent in 2018 when compared with the 2017 number; arrests of adults decreased 2.1 percent. (See Table 36.)
◾Nearly 73 percent (72.8) of the persons arrested in the nation during 2018 were males. They accounted for 79.1 percent of persons arrested for violent crime and 63.1 percent of persons arrested for property crime. (See Table 42.)

◾In 2018, 69.0 percent of all persons arrested were White, 27.4 percent were Black or African American, and the remaining 3.6 percent were of other races. (See Table 43.) ;)

That guy on the right better hope his pistol doesn't have an accidental discharge. It might shoot his penis off

8-) Well I think without a doubt one of the biggest factor in driving down crime in the USA is the up take and expansion of the CCL Laws, and this is in the face of un- paralleled Millions of people mostly being un-controlled and un-vetted illegal Immigrants entering the country.. There is an interesting mix of just who is taking up CCW. have a look at the stats below. ;)

Have a read of this latest report on the matter......https://www.nraila.org/articles/2019101 ... ased-again

Its strange as (As far as I know the Showing Open Carry is less restrictive as in no permit required) but listening to several You tube channels the the Open Carry is actually becoming more provocative as in inducing fear in the public as once it didnt have that much effect. So an Open carry person could be attacked by other members of the public by mistake. A scary vicious circle.

My comments related to Concealed Carry which is now the Norm the majority of States. Not Open Carry which is allowed in a number of States, but you will find that Open Carry is used mainly while Hunting and when in the Field or on the Ranch ect. Very Few take advantage of their Right to Open Carry in Town and Urban areas, preferring the advantage offered by CC.
The chance of "an Open Carry person being attacked by other members of the public" in general is remote, and in general History shows Citizens over there in most of the US do not regard this aspect as a "scary vicious circle", most of the Crime figures come from well known Urban areas. The Deaths by Firearms Per./100.000 people over there in most areas is not much greater than in this country, it's just that they have an enormous number of people. ;)

:o Such as in this well known example...
