G'day,
I've just read that the Vic Police have put a 'temporary' ban on processing PTAs for Cat A and B firearms as well as buying ammo, unless the purchaser is a primary producer or another professional needing firearms/supplies of ammo, due to a huge increase in applications for PTAs.
Minister "Ms Neville said that there had been a doubling of requests to access category A and B firearms and ammunition in the past week.
“We are concerned by those figures,” she said. “It is an incredibly stressful time with pressures around family violence and work.
“It is about keeping the community safe.”
In other words we shooters cannot be trusted [like firemen during the bushfires] not to treat family members in a reasonable manner.
I'm glad I bought a few extra boxes of ammo, but, if the 'temporary ban' continues as the socialist left/green want, I might have to start loading my own.
