One million shooters add on top of that all our families and surly our potential political number should be over 3-5 million. Its looking like 1 in 4 Queenslanders will vote for Minor parties in October.

l like the idea of people openly talking about shooting as a hobby or sport, it may help lift the taboo we have had to endure since port arthur
although l doubt it will ever be regarded the same as it was when l was younger and before port arthur
thanks for posting blade :drinks:

I'll have to remember to post something Simon Munslow posted the other day on FB. Basically, we have lots of people happily doing research into gun crime simply because it fits the agenda of others that are willing to pay for such research. We need a shooting organisation to back the same research into non-criminal firearm use. If only we had a pro-gun organisation here that had a nice healthy bank account, maybe from tens of thousands of gun owners' membership fees. Never going to happen.

I post _heaps_ of current firearm content to my FB feed every day, though I have had to educate some that they don't have to scroll past it in disgust, they can simply click the icon to block them from seeing content from FOU, or Dailywire, etc. It's the same as living in their world of pretend, where the only guns they ever hear about are in the movies and the anti-gun media they subscribe to. They have a built-in "block input" switch in their minds that they like to use selectively so they don't have to take offence at everything, they can just pretend it isn't real :-)

I think this video breaks the misconception the left wing tree huggers have of shooters. Yes...we are just every day people.

A lot of firearm owners are conservationists doing their part to eradicate the vast array of damage feral and invasive species have caused to our environment and native wild life. A lot of hunters are dedicated conservationists.

Being from Victoria do you think I mostly see kangaroos wallabies and koalas in our native forests which I love. Call me a tree hugger if you will. I just happen to like trees. I don’t think it makes me a radical left wing socialist at all.
Mostly I just see deer, foxes, rabbits, wild dogs. Sometimes even goats. So I am doing my part to conserve and preserve our native habitats.
I dream of a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned

Well the PM has announced he wants to cut red tape to stimulate the economy and help small business. How about legalising automatic firearms and pistols for use on private land. The economy will grow by nearly 100 million dollars as enthusiasts buy more firearms and the boat loads of ammo they will require for recreational use. Would create new industries as local companies make firearms and ammo locally to support the new demand. I would be broke over night if this ever happens.
