no s**t, I have thought about that, I am not a fitter and turner by trade, but if I buy a lathe and mill is that going to be used as ammo in the future if someone was to be a c u next tuesday?

Yeah this is insanity. They need to get stuffed and stop artificially regulating every goddamn thing. Its out of control. Honestly, its already illegal to make, or attempt to make, or fail to report someone else making, illegal firearms.

The scope of the legislation is so wide-ranging its impractical, and even if passed would be able to easily be enforced.

Yep I hear you .
just think back when I started this game I could walk into the local news agent ask him to have a look at that 10/22 say yep I'll have it all I had to do was give him $128 and sign the book and I was on me way and if my memory serves me correctly there was no gun violence back in those days that proves it is not a gun problem it is a people problem
