organisations that perpetuate rebels and militias and other militant groups around the world aren't interested in a few to a couple dozen long arms from a barracks armory in toowoomba or wagga... If a few thousand had gone walkabout then sure... but no, I think you will find that naughty military personnel have them tucked away somewhere amongst the civilian populace.
