"Detective Inspector Andrew Stamper said he believed police were still in "a very good position" to solve the case.

"I'm really confident that we're on the right track, we're looking at a particular theory now which involves a number of persons," he said.

Detective Inspector Stamper would not elaborate on the theory, but said hundreds of people across the state had provided information or assistance to police."

I'm sure that it's literally a rare as f..k colour.
As a patrol owner I notic them, I can only think of one blue patrol, it's a GU petrol, it drops into work once in a blue moon and stands out as odd every time I see it because Blue really looks odd on a GU wagon.

One of my workers had a blue patrol. The 6 cylinder petrol 2.8. I think they said it was petrol?

It’s an excellent clue for sure. I’ve never seen a light blue patrol. I don’t think there are any. I’ve seen them in dark blue.
And this one still has stock wheels. Probably petrol because no snorkel. Looks like an alloy bull bar maybe.
Looks like someone who does a lot of highway. A lot of touring. My assumption based on the tyres. Fuel economy compared to the giant muddies people put on those things. Looks like someone who’s practical and likely shrewd. No unnecessary suspension lifts, just a functional vehicle.
Witnesses and colours though. Could have been some sort of champagne green or something. They came out in awful colours.
That trailer is also distinctive. It’s not for firewood. Maybe just camping touring stuff. Small, low drag.
Left side of roof rack too light to be an awning. Maybe pvc for fishing rods.
Seems pretty suspect because to leave that area at midnight for a long trek with the roads and conditions out there. You’d need a good reason.
Would have been nice if they’d released this info sooner though.
Anyway, very distinctive. Sure to be recognised soon.
But one can imagine the amount of leads to filter through this will generate.

Might not be registered as blue, could have been painted and Vic roads not notified of the colour change. Even a stolen number plate.

Not a bad evaluation.
Although it could also be somebody that lives in the vehicle full time, under the radar, taking up short residency as and where they find themselves. Most likely not licenced at all, with plates off something long forgotten about just to avoid drawing attention. And somebody likely to be upset to find somebody else camping in one of their bolt holes.

The release of the photo posted above was a survilance pressure strategy. Hotham have ANPR cameras and the photos are much much better quality, so they knew who it was already, just needed to apply some pressure to make him nervous.

Fill me in. What are these blue pills your talking about mchugh? You seem to know a fair bit about them. What have been your experiences when using them?

Perhaps u should see a GP or perhaps call 131144 if your feeling down. I still healthy, feel fit and active personality.
