Looks like Lithgow has seen the light and realizes the AR platform is the path ahead.

Looks fantastic.
Obviously its targeted at a market that jumps through loopholes to be able to own high powered, semi automatic firearms with high capacity magazines specifically for the purposes of killing / wounding people.
Gun control requires concentration and a steady hand

Will be interesting to see if they actually get picked up by the police. Currently from what I know most units in Australia who require an AR use US made Daniels Defense AR-15s. There are a few units (Vicpol CIRT and SOG, along with some NSW unit) that also use Sig Sauer MCXs. Daniels Defense and Sig rifles are already expensive (Even before factoring in cost of importing), so it certainly can't be argued that going with US made rifles is cheaper than the Australian made ones...

Hopefully the ADF pick them up as well. Lithgow x Wedgetails showed off both an 6.8 AR and an 6.8 Aug at the recent Land Forces Expo, so who knows what they end up adopting in the future.

6.8 from the recent US Next Gen Squad Weapon program, which given that Sig Sauer won, it would presumably be chambered in Sig's 6.8×51mm SIG Fury (Also known as .277 Fury).

It's good to see a Military type arms industry starting up . We need to make more of our own weapons because you can't rely on other countries to supply you in times of trouble .
