Vic RIS on Game Regulations due by 30th July 2024

Get your submissions in or less you be termed a whinger for doing nothing and complaining about the game regs for the next decade.

I made a submission 12 years ago and my words are still in there so if they are approved again there will be 20 years because I put pen to paper rather than expect anybody to do it for me.

Yeh, did mine about 1 week ago.

Oh, hang on. You are talking about the qns about non-toxic bullets, right?

Or is there another?

Ok. Thx Chuck.
Did that one.
I just noticed there is an option to submit a written submission . Sooo, guessing you can submit almost anything that way.

I might propose 2 or 3 other changes later in the week.

Probably wasting my time tho.

Edit: Agree people need to take some time and complete the submission. More submissions = better result for hunters.

G''day,

I'm not interested in hunting deer but am curious about how some areas are designated recognised deer habitat and others, with scads of deer present are not. I'm in Golden Plains Shire south of Ballarat. Last time I checked Golden Plains is not a recognised deer habitat area. However, there is no lack of red and sambar deer. They've been in the area for decades, so the old locals have told me.

Filled out question response and separate response. I downloaded the scientific study by Hampton which measured the lead levels in femur bones of wedge tail Eagles. They used a portable xrf unit rather than icp which is notoriously inaccurate at those detection levels. 43 of 62 birds studied were given by wind farms and were low levels.

So the obvious solution is to ban wind farms not lead because they don't have elevated levels on a flawed measuring system anyway.

Chuck, you are right.
Well what an eye opener. Clearly the report is written to confuse.
62 analysed.
43 killed by wind farms.
1 killed by a car.
Any result measuring 0 was recorded as 1ppm. I think that was 11 Eagles. What a fukn joke. Fudging the numbers.

Was funded by guess who, WIRES. So result was most likely predetermined.
Lots of quotes about overseas birds, completely unrelated.

None are recorded as death as a result of lead poisoning.
