SSAA CEO Tom Kenyon

Post by Oldbloke » 18 Mar 2025, 10:10 am

I was a member for many tears, simply for political reasons but resigned about 7 years ago because of the political inaction . Have recently rejoind because going to the range more and they seemed to put up a decent showing in the recent Game regs review in Vic.

Well, they have a fairly new CEO, and I just listened to an interview with him.

The new CEO talks on a YouTube or pod cast and covers a fair bit of political stuff. A bit long abt 55 minutes.
He is an ex politician and I'm hopeful he will make a difference.

Members or otherwise might find it interesting. First 15 minutes or so is about his back ground.

Great news you blokes are contributing again. May I respectfully suggest now that you are members, that you send him an email about how you expect more political action and results from him too. Unlike the other undies-wetters, this bloke just might step up if he has the members pushing him.
And yes, I did... and I got a personal phone call back.

I will be honest with you. I re-joined mainly because I have access to St.Marys indoor range at albeit a cheaper cost. I used to shoot at the Hornsby range on a Sunday arvo, but gave it away as the SSAA rep to the range complex came on a "bit over the top" almost demanding etc. Not for me. St Marys is well controlled and run. Just my opinion, mind you.
