Teals? A few might be ok,, who knows.

I think diversity in our parliament is generally a good thing.

Trouble is, is that TEALS have a tendency to follow the greens, if not the greens, then labor. Yep diversity is a good thing provided it is balanced. Time will tell, I guess.

I think that's most likely true.

Thing is we know ALP, LNP & Greens will screw us. Independents, we'll, perhaps a few won't. :unknown:

And independents are not locked into following party lines,,,,so in theory at least think for themselves.

I'm also surprised at the outcome.
I did read that the younger generations hold the voting power.
Labour had better get their s**t together, they won't be able to blame anyone else for the mess from here on in.
Let's brace ourselves for the next phase of "renewables" spending.
Also, they'll have to show us their plans for the Future made in Australia policy they've done nothing about now.

It's a silver lining that the Greens did poorly but how did Pissy Pants Albo get in again? How can you vote for a leader of a country that repeatedly crys in front of a the nation. I'm glad Churchill was of a different cloth.

I read that only 34% of people voted for labor and they still rule in a majority government. That is the power of preferences.

Australia just like Canada has had large demographic shifts as of late and these demographics vote for left wing parties.

It makes no difference greens lost their seats because labor picked them up and they are basically the same.

Geeze, really?
What people just don't seem to understand is that there were alternatives, No Offence, but why do you just keep on about only 2 players in this game?

And that so many people don't understand the preferential voting system... I mean, where the sentiments of the independents and minors actually end up when the votes are counted. In so many cases, protest votes against the criminal majors actually end up there.
Or fools following HTV cards from these clowns instead of the voter placing his votes to punish the germs who are putting people in tents and cars, and much worse as I have already described.

So parasites who get only maybe 35% of the votes (which means 3 out of 10 voters only directly, knowingly supported them first) get into government.

I wouldn't be so sure. The count has not yet finalised and according to the ABC electoral results guide, Ryan is showing a Greens lead:
Which seats are still in doubt?
Even though Brisbane and Griffith are still "in doubt", I suspect that something amazing would have to happen to change current indications that the Greens will lose those seats.

Even with the Greens having a significantly reduced presence in the lower house, they represent about 1 in 8 voters in terms of the primary vote:
https://tallyroom.aec.gov.au/HouseDownloadsMenu-31496-Csv.htm
and most importantly, they retain a significant presence in the senate:
https://www.abc.net.au/news/elections/federal/2025/results/senate
So, they'll continue to play a pivotal role over the next parliamentary cycle and one could argue that even if Ryan ends up slipping out of their hands, it doesn't matter.

Anti rights activist Adam Bandt has lost his seat in Melbourne.

A glorious day :drinks: a toast to his fitting demise.

Whilst it is funny, one greens seat being taken by labor means nothing. The greens have 11 senators now. One nation only has 2.

Out of 76 senate seats greens have 11. Round that up to 15% of the senate.

For historical context that means nothing but I will mention, only 13% of Germans were members of a particular party by the end of 1945.

I'd be surprised if the ALP, LNP or Greens have a membership of 1% of our population.

13% is a LOT. I'd bet majority (perhaps 10%) joined for reasons of survival.

I heard the commentators saying he will hold on and next day Bandt had lost, I just felt overjoyed with the best part of the s**t show.

Although the lot of them are pathetic liars, Bandt was a classic blaming everyone bar himself.
When you think back, every greens slime speech is much the same.

Anyone is better than having them at the table as they are like organized evil and use every dirty trick at their dissposal to get any agenda through.

A second Labor/Greens woke govt term could cement the start of the end for shooters as they have a few years and don't need every vote they can get.
Is a labor majority govt worse, maybe, but greens would have pushed the no guns through at a high priority.

Most joined for greed. Being a party member meant perks such as cushy jobs and privileges in society.
