It's critical that S&F maintains its representation through direct membership. Membership is not expensive, and your membership is private unless you consent to disclosure.

When you're done up there on your soap box read my post again.

Maybe you don't need to be a member to get a hunting licence, but it was Shooters & Fishers who one you the right to hunt on public land.
Maybe you don't get insurance, but it was Shooters and Fishers who one you the right to hunt on public land where you need the insurance.
It was Shooters and Fishers that lobbied to soften the worst of Howard's any gun legislation.
It is Shooters and Fishers that opposes the marine parks being established everywhere, preventing you for dropping a line in the water.
It was Shooters and Fishers that established Game Council and although it nolonger exists, its model is the same one being used by the DPI today.
It is Shooters and Fishers through its Bowhunting Branch (FAB) that is opposing the Greens attempt to regulate or even ban compound bows and the sale and ownership of arrows etc in NSW.
It is Shooters and Fishers that opposed draconian ammunition regulation plans in NSW.
If you can still hunt and shoot etc in a years time, it will be despite the Greens and the antis efforts in Parliament to ban hunting and shooting and it will be the Shooters and Fishers Party that opposes their legislative changes that wins you the right to continue with your sport while complaining that $30 a year is too great a price to pay.
And they do all this even if you decide you'd rather sponge off everyone else than contribute to the fighting fund.
