I think I want to resign from society

Post by Wylie27 » 03 Jun 2015, 2:39 pm

i read this today before the chef apologised for hunting.

http://mobile.news.com.au/entertainment ... 7380754011

The president of the Australian society for Kangaroos?!? What the hell???

Loving the comments though. Pretty much all in favour.

Why have news.com.au blurred out the Roo's faces??are they on criminal charges? Maybe the police haven't tracked down the "devastated family" and completed formal notification. :D

Welcome to Australia the softest sookiest most politically correct country on earth.

I think Ken's comment sums it up best...

The heads were blurred probably due to being head shot, don't need brains in the media. The hunters need some practice as the first Roo was gut shot which isn't very ethical or bodes well with the SSAA ethical hunting commitment.

Perhaps (in the true gourmet chefs fashion) the jumping rats were lightly killed then delicately skinned on a nest of organic grass with only the purest bush dew settling lovingly on the steaming carcass. :wtf:
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

It's not murder if you don't inhale.

You forgot tasty.

Further update. The bodies have been formally identified by the family.

Sources close to the family have said they are absolutely hopping mad and hope the investigation is not skipped over.

This is no joke. There are more and more people that are wanting to elevate animals with as much (or more) rights as us.

In the US, the court is contemplating whether chimpanzees should have the same rights as humans...

http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2015/05/27/jud ... as-humans/

The sad thing is - this isn't the bottom of the barrel - it's spiraling down, with no end in sight. I'm really concerned just how far down this rabbit hole society is going to go. We used to admit people with these types of thoughts into asylums in the past - now we give them a degree and a place of influence in society!

Maybe they wouldn't sign a model release form.

Their agent must have been unreachable at the time

" This kangaroo is a dentist so we can't show you his face "

I had a look at that Australian society for Kangaroos face book page ... what a joke.

I respect Roo's and won't shoot them without permits but these people have no idea about the affects of agriculture on the natural ballance and population management of kangaroos.

It's impossible to argue with experts so I don't bother trying.

And My Kitchen Rules ratings will drop by exactly 0% as the brain dead followers of these shows twitter amongs themselves about how bad and discusting it all is and keep watching because they won't practice what they preach.

I resign as well. :unknown:

We should be farming them more!

The reason for the numbers exploding is we are farming them, just not processing them. Our farming and good wet seasons allow the populations to explode even more than they would have centuries ago, so they waste away in drought.

To protect the species roo shooting is required. The Greenies do not get this. They can't think past the photo as shown.

You ever watched a session at The Senate or Question Time in Parliament and compared that behavior to chimps in a zoo?

I can see why they want to give chimps the same standing as humans - aren't chimps one gene away from humans anyway? :sarcasm:

I was checking out an article in the US about this whole ridiculous carry on and even some of the comments from the readers in the states knew kangaroos were a pest to farmers and they should be managed. They were commenting on why all the carry on and fuss.

How does the president for the kangaroo society think the kangaroos are taken for the meat supplied to major supermarkets? They're not farmed and sent to abattoirs....
"They were smiling and enjoying themselves...." so it's a crime to enjoy doing anything now?

I resigned from society many years ago and been essentially anti social since.

On the topic of dentists, I was in the chair some years back with a new dentist when he said to me, just before stabbing me in the gum with a horse needle "This won't hurt a bit". I replied that he should let me hold his balls just to be sure and reached out to grab them....the look on his face was priceless, the nurse had tears of laughter. I still see him on a regular basis and he flinches anytime I move my hand towards his groin :)

I wear a gun. At first, I thought, "I should keep it covered, he is a foreigner and if he doesn't like guns he might hurt me a little more than usual."

Then I though, "That was dumb. Go with your strengths :D"
