If I recall one of the boys in blue did a similar thing with a roo a while back.

Seemingly no idea about anything and just near-emptied a clip into the downed roo randomly.

Could it be as simple and innocent as a lack of understanding of nerves? I remember in my younger days wanting to put more and more shots into an animal thinking it was still alive because of it's nerves reactions and had to be taught of such things.

I could see it being possible a police officer who knows nothing about hunting or killing animals was still thinking the poor thing was alive and putting multiple rounds one after another into it because it was still twitching?

A few legal chamberings and 9mm luger & 45ACP have been 'done' in long arms....

We can even use the old 30 and 32 old timer rounds even the 310cadet . .... so if the M&P had a stock and a few more inches on the spout it would be different....apparently....

Don't know about the .38 or .375 mag but I know from experience you can load 44 mag rifles to higher pressures than handguns and rifles shoot at higher velocity with greater accuracy.

Anyways, I think the humor of my post was lost on some posters.. oh well :)

Do these cops cover their eyes when euthanizing the animal?

Seriously I can't believe that complete incompetence from a cop would actually surprise anyone! Have you ever seen them doing their once a year compulsory shoot at a range? Most couldn't hit the side of a barn but are entrusted to carry a firearm in public completely unlicensed ! The Lindt siege should be enough proof of their incompetence. Being shot by the idiots that are "supposed" to be protecting you......NO THANKS!
It's not banned in Queensland but you just can't have one!
