From the previews they go into the failures of police in the actual siege and also in regards to the enforcement of laws & general policing before as we all know he had been delt with previously.

Should be a good watch :drinks:

Easy fix first sniper take out the police negotiator then the terrorist.
All the people in the cafe would still be alive.
Should have called in the army, nsw police have no idea.

Yep agree totally .Unfortunately then the bleeding hearts and do gooders would jump up and down over the breach of the scums "human rights". I'm not a big fan of the police but in this case they're damned either way

If you're going to be damned either way, you might as well be damned for shooting the bad guy instead of the victims, from the news coverage it looked like the entire NSW police force was there discussing just how much overtime they could drag out of the situation!

As I said I agree with ya. Personally I think it should have been handled by the sasr counter terrorism unit. The outcome would've been much different.

The police breach was as bad as any brick i saw on their first run in the infantry. And we only did it in the warfighting sense. The stun grenade bounced back into their own room and the amount of rounds fired for 1 target no wonder their was civi casualties.

Cops do have it tough but that breach was straight sloppy.

Well there you go guys, Coroners report today,
NSW political corruption at its finest.
We all know man monis started it but the NSW Police must take some responsibility.
They were under equipped had no idea, why in the f&&k do they have snipers if you don't use them when they say we can take the shot?
Offered help by the Army said NO.
Offered help by FBI said NO
Then when commonsense prevails, who in the f$$k
sprays 100 rounds of ammo in a concrete and granite covered room to kill 1 guy when there is hostages in there.
s**t have to make a mental note to myself,
If i every get caught in this situation and the terrorist
Whats a sacrifice.."shoot me first quick". before the
F$$king NSW keystone cops do it..

Yeah that beach was a shocka. We have highly trained and experienced CT units and they weren't used. Cops should have been used for what they do best. .traffic control :drinks:

Yes Daddybang,
I am afraid the only thing NSW Cops know how to do is get Revenue from the average working man.
Its sad but the Government doesn't want the public to know how inefficient, corrupt and arrogant they really are.

Yes but they could have taken the FBI tactic 2 Snipers fire 1 sec apart 1 to break the glass the other to take him out.
Besides they couldnt get armour piercing ammo. The glass wasnt that bullet proof and if still not sure use a 20mm cannon round, you can always identify him by finger prints.

Exactly. The guy was a goddamn nutjob and a danger to society!

I watched the article and found it both disturbing and informative. Apparently the SAS were running rehearsals up the road and no one called them in. The cops on the ground had no idea that he had recently arranged the gruesome murder of his ex-wife even after some other cops recognised him.

The whole operation & NSW justice system was a sham and made it more of a tragedy than it needed to be. Who the hell gives parole to someone charged with arranging to have the mother of their own kids stabbed and set on fire with petrol!??! :x :x :x

Spot on. Happens pretty regularly. The judges in this country need to be held to account, although in this case the DPP screwed up.
