That's why Nobody knows my Mobile Phone Number other than a select few, it doesn't do anything else than work as a Phone. I run Mailwasher Pro on my email accounts so between those I do not get rubbish phone calls or crazy messages... if I do they don't get past the screening and hence why I also don't get viruses on my computer.

Voice calls you can some satisfaction giving the telecallers a hard time... it just wouldnt be the same via sms!

I dont have a landline purely because of the telemarketers... they s**t me too

I find this kind of unsolicited crap highly disturbing, the message is completely innapropriate, imagine if a "vote no" message was sent?

They claim that it's a random dialler. That's how they get around the Do not call register.

A friend of mine got the message...she was gonna vote yes...she'll probably go the 'NO' vote now...

This unsolicited rubbish is just bloody wrong...!!!

Thing that gets me is one of the only arguements ive seen for the YES vote by all the outspoken advocates (aka Penny f**kng Wong) claim the country wants gay marriage, so they have done all they can to remove 'the peoples' RIGHTS to vote away, by way of fighting to have it passed in parliment.

In other words, yet another precious minority group want to deny society its right to vote, so they can have their way..

The gay marraige mob voted for Malcomb Turnbill because he promised to give us all an opportunity to vote on it...
Now they crucify him for giving us the right to vote...obviously because they might not get their way.

Im not preeching for the Libs here...just making a point about the hoppocracy of the YES arguement...

Australian Marriage Equality spokesman Clint McGilvray said the texts had gone out to random computer-generated numbers.

I got this text as well. It seems like I am not an orphan and a lot of other people hate the conduct of the "yes" campaign as well. The thing I particularly detest is that avery, very tiny minority has hijacked political discussion so this has become the "burning issue of our generation". Well not for me it isn't. I dont care! Leave me the feck alone!

Here are some numbers to put this into perpective. In the 2102(?) census it was identified that there were about 5 million married couples. It was identified that there were about 34 thousand same sex couples. So in a population of 25 million in Australia the desire of 74 thousand people to get a bit of paper from the gummint is something the rest of should give a feck about? If I was in a family in Sydney struggling to make ends meet with a huge daily commute and mortgage payments I would be pretty pissy that the practical day to challenges government should be addressing have been hikacked by a very, very self absorbed selfish self centred minority.

Let's get one thing straight, this is NOT in any way, shape or form a vote. It is only an opinion poll conducted by the ABS for the Fed Govt. But you are correct in that only those on the electrol roll are eligible to have a say, so no, people under 18 years should not be getting these texts.
