Sorry to sound negative. BUT, media will love that even more than the Adler advertising that made it look like a machine gun. I think it will just work against us.

I thought so initially, but then I thought about buying more guns and the negativity went away ;-)

Exactly, and pushing the numbers up we can put more pressure on the anti's that more guns does not equal more gun violence.

...and then there's the family operated courier companies, importer,/wholesalers, international freight companies, US, Brazillian, Italian, German, Spanish, trucking companies, manufacturers, materials suppliers, mining companies, powder manufacturers, primer manufacturers, cartridge case makers, safe makers...even firearms registry staff.
But apart from that, what have the Romans ever done for us?
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

Checked with Centreway, they have a fair bit of PPU Swiss. Gonna grab 5 boxes. Heading down the range this Sunday for milsurp comp. Hopefully it arrives by then.

Added a L/H 22 to the inventory last week and will be adding a pair of hand guns this week. Pretty sure I can add another 1 or 2 firearms during Feb, March, April, May, August, September, October, November and December :) none in June or july cause I'll be offshore competing :)

i reckon old bloke is right , people think the pollies are the key, the lazy c@nts aren't . THE MEDIA WILL MAKE A BIG DEAL OF THIS ! the anti gun lobby will be getting big media coverage. this could back-fire on shooters badly.the uninformed and ignorant public will panic " oh dear, this will mean more crime and murder, more gun crime " the lefties ranting and raving on their soap-boxes and a scared public lapping it up. just my opinion....

You've seen what happens when LAFOs do nothing... May as well do something. It's the only option left.

Apart from the Socio-Political aspects, it is just nice to buy another firearm. March is as good a time as any, so 3 PTA's in the mail and maybe another to follow if I can talk someone into selling a nice item I want, Cheers

No1Mk3, out of interest, why in the mail? Why not get the shop to do it online?

i agree with ya mate, but don't underestimate public opinion and the evil media. there's more than one way to go about things. building solidarity and numbers in the shooting community and with primary producers and conservation/ feral erradication is the weight behind our argument. more guns will play the ignorant into the hands of lefties.

All true, mate. All true. But none of it changes the fact that I wanted those guns :) Be it in Feb, Mar; or Feb and Mar, which is probably what's going to happen lol :)

G'day juststarting,
The firearms are not coming from a shop, a letter outlining "Genuine Need" has to be attached due to the new bulls**t, and transfer will be done by travelling dealer. I may get something interstate as well, which will also require a letter, but that will transfer via a shop. Cheers.

Interesting! So would that mean that's if I for example wanted a caliber X from some weekend deal, like Arms and Militaria expo, I could priempt it and potentially take it home there and then, with the seller who would also be a dealwr doing a transfer on the spot?

Yes, that can, and has on several occasions, been done. If you know basically what you want, get a PTA, and go shopping! Only handguns require a serial number prior to purchase, longarms my make and caliber will do. I have done this at the Auctions in the past, Cheers.

I've been looking for a .357 Magnum lever-action for weeks. Ringing all over Oz and coming up empty everywhere. If you know of one let me know. There was a Rossi on Usedguns a few weeks ago that I'm kicking myself for not grabbing.
But I finally got a lead on an Uberti 66 in .38 Special that I'm inspecting tomorrow.
Hoping my Henry lever .22 comes tomorrow as well and I can bring them both home.

Still need some more though to really support the cause, maybe a .30-30 and some milsurps!
