But apart from that, what have the Romans ever done for us?

That's one of the BEST posts I've seen here, except you forgot the poor old Czech workers - you may think it's enough that they have the best porn starlets, the best beer, the only government that passed a 2nd Amendment type law and make beautiful firearms (Brno Model 2, CZ 75), but they would like some appreciation.

Wow, I wanna see photos of that one :-)

I only managed to buy three rifles for March, the Uberti Model 66, the Henry Classic .22LR, and the Remington M1903-A3 which should arrive this week. My brother-in-law seized the crank and in my old 250 so I sunk a lot of cash into finding a replacement engine for that instead of buying rifles.

Only three... now I feel bad about only buying one... picked up a little BL22. Heaps of fun.

BL-22 is one of my favourite 22s. I love it.

I was actually looking at a 45-70 when I bought it, and then I thought.. I see more herds of soft drink bottles than buffalo...

Eh, you think that, but plinking with 45-70 is a lot more fun than with 22 :) just use trail boss and cast bullets.

You're using double quotes, as if it's a direct citation. That's not what I've said. And just because you don't have good taste in finer things Mr I shoot F class ;) I have had a change of heart about 22LR though. Lots and lots of fun, but using fast lever action or revolver action or pump action hehehe. Bolt action, 30+ cal over 22 any day. God damn it, I don't even know how I ended up with so many 22s lol

Haha... yeah. I couldn't find the actual post I was thinking of so I paraphrased multiple instalments from the Juststarting anti 22lr rants!

edit: BTW; it's not that I don't enjoy the finer things, it's just that I can't freaking afford them! :drinks:

Soon, soon. Once the B&B and trout fishing and brewery is going. :)

Yeah, it hurts to admit to it... One of those alcoholic self realisation moments. Buying 22 by 1000+ at a time kinda suggests I may like to shoot them a little more than I realised.
