Another case of recreational outrage

I guess we're probably one generation away from shooters condemning other shooters for posing with their kill period - for the same reasons - either out of 'respect' and 'empathy' for the dead animal, or how it might be viewed by the rest of the community and reflect badly on hunters.

I feel for that bloke. Maybe not the wisest thing to do with today's social climate, but IMO he didn't deserve what happened to him in my books and I hope he can sue his employer for unfair dismissal and get a bucket load from them.

I mean, its obviously ok for those types to eat meat, as long as we all ignore the physical & mental stress the farmed meat animal goes through the week or 2 leading up to its slaughter...

I know its steering a little off original topic, but we also cant be bullied by thise as you say 'pricks'.

If im to no longer post pics of dead animals, it would be through me learning a greater respect for other members here feelings...not to hide from the uneducated PETA types...

I had a pretty nasty one to do the other day a Roo I had shot the night before not spotlighting right on dark under moonlight. Took the shot and lost sight of the Roo couldn't believe I may have missed. Took a shot at a gong at about the same distance from the same spot I was shooting hit dead center. I walked around the paddock in the moonlight but didn't find anything. Next day 30 deg I took the bike out the back to have a look and found the Roo exactly where I took the shot. Went back got the tractor took him up the hill off the good grass to gut. Stuck the knife in and all the gas came rushing out with a spray of blood. The stink was pretty bad, anyway scooped out all the guts and took him back to the shed for skinning and butchering for dog meat. Meat was no issue the carcass was a bit smelly though will see ho the skin goes tanning wise I had it in salt water overnight last night and fleshed it with the high pressure hose today and put in in the solution re used from last skin.

Yeah Stix it does sound a little bit that way but being real I probably will send some pics in later but the careful
thoughts will be going through my mind
I suppose they were the thoughts that went through old mates mind when he had his photo taken with the baboon

Dont know why I wrote all that. I suppose to show that im not squirmish and wont get my feelings hurt but dont think unnecessary blood and guts photos are a good idea. If they are for looking at organs for signs of health, that is a different issue.

I did understand what you meant, its not that stoopid bookface...
BTW i heard today that the algorithyms bookface use are so advanced they can even tell when you "hover over an article in your news feed" for certain length of time...if this hovering is duly detected, other algorithyms will fill your newsfeed with similar articles...

Im not sure if you're trying to make you're point double, but i get you dont agree with recent post(s) of mine....really i do...!!!

Im also learning to look beyond what i see in my mind--especially with 204'd rabbit heads-but they are not meant as a bloodthirsty saddest thing--rather its a new rifle & im astonished at the utter efficiency of the cartridge on small game...

No I wasn't singling you out either. Im not that fussed, there does seem to be from this and other posts about "hope the guy gets all he deserved" and he is a dumb arse sort of thing even including different topics like the Micheal Diamond saga. A general vibe I get as all gun owners need to be held to high standards as not to endanger the sport. Some of it I agree with some I dont but even if I didnt agree. My comments are with a view to well if you dont want someone else to do it because ---- then it shouldnt be done here sort of thing.

The baboon photo is in extremely poor taste and just disappointing that a grown ass man would do this without foreseeing the consequences. Do keep in mind though that your average anti would also go frothing at the mouth over the bunnies posted (shot for food) in the other part of this forum too.

Like I said earlier, they are a significant pest and are treated as such. No different to us getting in the sh!t over culling pest Kangaroos which is deemed "insensative and abhorrent" by the anti's. I'm pretty sure there'd be some stupid photos out there of dead 'roos wearing sunglasses and a hat in someones photo album.
For all you young 'uns, that's where you used to put your pictures before the "cloud".
