From memory, the 30-06 version holds 3 rounds in a detachable box mag, maybe 4. Its faster than a standard lever action because of the spring loaded "lever" - to be honest its' more of a pivoting catch that you can operate with your thumb. So yeah, its the usual thing where the second shot is slower than a u/o shotgun but the third shot is faster.
They are really built for driven shoots in Europe - i.e. you are in a stand or at a post and a beater drives a group of wild boar past you. It's not the look, i.m.o they just look like a particularly ugly hunting rifle but it's all wood furniture, looks nothing like a "black rifle".
