Fun Police Bastards.
That Lee "woman" probably closes her eyes while she's having sex just so she doesn't have to see her old man enjoying himself.
Damn, now I wish I could poke my mind's eye out.

Knew I should have bought one...Actually, having handled one in a shop I don't really like them. But I guess thats not really the point.

I had been surprised that the rifle version got in at all, but I did wonder if it would survive the import process because it is a very exxy gun- so you weren't as likely to get muppets making stupid youtube vids with them and setting off the GCA radar like the Adler did.

I don't get the problem
its still slower to rapid fire one of these than a single trigger d/b or u/o shotgun
do they hold more ammo or something, is that the problem :unknown:
or is it the look of them :unknown:

From memory, the 30-06 version holds 3 rounds in a detachable box mag, maybe 4. Its faster than a standard lever action because of the spring loaded "lever" - to be honest its' more of a pivoting catch that you can operate with your thumb. So yeah, its the usual thing where the second shot is slower than a u/o shotgun but the third shot is faster.

They are really built for driven shoots in Europe - i.e. you are in a stand or at a post and a beater drives a group of wild boar past you. It's not the look, i.m.o they just look like a particularly ugly hunting rifle but it's all wood furniture, looks nothing like a "black rifle".

It is accurately described
by a number of firearms experts as a “semi-semi automatic” weapon.

Really? Semi-Semi Automatic? David Sh!tbrick at it again. I'd like at least one verified firearms expert to come forward and say its a 'semi semi' automatic. Otherwise like most greens MPs, he is talking complete crock as usual.

Perhaps the peddlers of the "semi-semi-auto" characterisation of the Verney-Carron would be good enough to inform all of us just who their "firearms expert" is so that his bona fides can be confirmed?

It is the thought of them. They have no idea of the capabilities of the limited actions available to us, but have got the idea that a semi auto requires minimal skill and training to hit multiple targets in much less time than any other- therefore they are much more dangerous!!!!

I dont know about you, but I'd rather be 100 meters away from a numpty spraying full auto with a 30 round magazine than 600 meters from someone who knows what they are doing with a bolt action 338 or similar.
