Air dried bunnies

Recently picked up a BG branded Gamo shadow 0.177 air rifle for cheap plinking. The local bunnies are in trouble... The dog might need to go on a diet soon

It's plenty if you put the shot in the right place at a sensible range.

Sh!t, that brings back memories,,,,
I learned to shoot with a .177 Slavia springer.

A mate and I used to climb up trees that hung over or near warrens, and sit and wait for them to come out.
Placed at 1/2'' below the base of the ear, or if directly above them, vertically down between the ears used to give excellent kills.
Mind you the old springers had nothing on the power of the air rifles of today.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.

Yeah damn good fun and brought back a heap of memories for me too. Was bought to get the kids going and has already put a few smiles on the dials. Daughter was hitting a coke can shooting off hand at 50m the other night....... This has a hell of a lot more punch than the old BSA I learnt to shoot on. Advertised velocity is 1,000 fps. Take 10 or 20% off for real world and it's still plenty of zip for a bit of fun. None of the bunnies that have taken one to the head have made a complaint.

Good work BA, a logical solution would be to get another Dog to help at the dinner party ?

Thanks. This dog is fantastic but already gets less attention than she deserves. I had two and replaced them with one when the others went to the great paddock in the sky. A mates dog will get a few feeds....

Yep, was cheaper than the bog standard version. Only difference is orange instead of grey inserts and the ugly BG on the stock. I reckon a bit of acetone will fix it

Yeah, you wouldn't want to own anything that endorses that idiot! That is definitely why it was cheaper than the "non-branded" one.

I took the air drier for a walk this evening, she's been a bit of a safe queen lately so it was nice to get her out. Shot 7, lost one down a warren, recovered 6. My lab is a very happy girl tonight

Are you sure? Looks like he's only about twice the size of the rabbit in the photo

Yeah there's a heap of interesting stuff here, the farm is one of the earliest in the district that hasn't been totally chopped up into hobby farms
