Define South Coast, I'm Sydney based but willing to hunt almost anywhere within a reasonable distance.

Brett, trolling bars for younguns isn't the kind of hunting being asked for here

:D I was planning to be gentle, a little spooning to begin with then once he's comfortable I'd invite him up to my secluded compound (aka Dungeon) out in the Pilliga where no one could hear his screams.

Dave29, Don't mind what Wylie says about me, only most of it is true.

I've got my "R", 4WD, Fridge. If you want to figure out a weekend after April 15th and a forest I'd be happy to tag along. I've got a mate down your way as well that I can introduce you to that's a keen shooter and does more of the forest type hunting. I have family and some land of my own up near Narrabri so I book Pilliga East, Bibblewindi and Jack's Creek forests when I go up there so I've got other places to shoot if needed and don't mind a passenger if they can get to my place n a Friday afternoon.

Seeing you're a new member here, Wylie is a friend of mine, we shoot together and don't miss an opportunity to stir each other :D . Maybe a few lines of an intro so we can get a bit of an idea about what draws you to the sport and what you're looking to get from hunting in the forests. Unlike many forums or Farcebook, this place is a great resource for both the new shooter or seasoned professional. A lot of good guys here so don't hold back asking questions.

At the risk of being taken to one of these 'dungeons', I too am looking for a 'R' licensed hunter around the hunter valley area who is keen to hunt some state forests.

i've done a lot of deer stalking on private properties, but keen to go somewhere different. Havn't had a go at the whole state forest bit yet.

sorry i missed the second part of your message.
what draws me to the spot is always had a love of the bush/camping/hiking and have been a bow hunter for a while and recently got my first gun so now i'm interested in going out hunting for my own food and spending more time away from work and everyday life and get out into the bush

Hey mate, same here.

Haven't got any specific plans for my next trip (generally get to one forest or another every month or so) but if you're going out anytime soon shoot me a PM, my arm's not hard to twist. :drinks:

I am Sydney based.
Have R lic.
During Winter, I would be up for going hunting with others, such as to Newnes, Pilliga, Putty or other forests or to private properties (with permission).
I am a newbie, so far have only shot and eaten rabbits.
Looking for Bow Hunting Buddies/properties.
Have R licence.
